The Case Manager - Children's Behavioral Health coordinates treatment activity, participates in client staffing, implements treatment plans, provides rehabilitation services, provides general healthcare management activities, and maintains client records. As healthcare reform advances and health homes become the norm, the Case Manager - Children's Behavioral Health is required to expand their capacity in healthcare navigation, build on existing skills in behavior health change, and gain a better understanding of the common health problems and basic interventions for individuals with mental illness and those with chronic health problems.
Case Manager - Children's Behavioral Health interacts with clients and staff in a culturally competent manner that takes into account factors such as age, developmental or acquired disabilities, religion and spiritual orientation, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, indigenous heritage, national origin, gender, and gender identity. Enhances professional growth and keeps informed of evidence-based practices in behavioral health field related to populations served and modalities used to include working knowledge of DSM V, and its criteria for mental health disorders. The Crisis Response Specialist, under professional supervision, accepts direct calls from Community Response Network (CRN), law enforcement, first responders and supervisors for prompt community response on a flexible schedule that may include providing client transport to medically necessary services and well checks.

Crisis Response Specialist is able to perform crisis assessments in the community and ED, has strong verbal and written clinical skills, is able to staff cases for inpatient and safe plans with BHMP's and supervisors. Able to work closely with law enforcement, first responders, persons receiving crisis services and their supports under stressful situations at all hours in a professional and calm manor. The Behavioral Health Therapist conducts diagnostic evaluations to assess and assign clients to appropriate levels of care and conducts individual, family, and group services, as needed. Develops and implements treatment plans, provides case management services, and performs coordination of clinical care activities.


The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, under Direct Supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, supports and advances the Spectrum Healthcare Group mission by providing psychiatric evaluations, medication monitoring, staff consultation and training, participates in client staffings, and in quality improvement activities and reviews and performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer.
