As healthcare reform advances and health homes become the norm, the Case Manager - Children's Behavioral Health is required to expand their capacity in healthcare navigation, build on existing skills in behavior health change, and gain a better understanding of the common health problems and basic interventions for individuals with mental illness and those with chronic health problems.
Case Manager - Children's Behavioral Health interacts with clients and staff in a culturally competent manner that takes into account factors such as age, developmental or acquired disabilities, religion and spiritual orientation, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, indigenous heritage, national origin, gender, and gender identity. Enhances professional growth and keeps informed of evidence-based practices in behavioral health field related to populations served and modalities used to include working knowledge of DSM V, and its criteria for mental health disorders. Follows policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Case Manager - Children's Behavioral Health assists with managing internal requests for providers and assists with coordination of high-needs cases among the department providers.
