As an Adult Therapist at Spectrum Healthcare, you'll provide compassionate, person-centered behavioral health care to adults in our community. You'll work alongside a supportive clinical team while helping clients navigate challenges, build skills, and work toward meaningful goals.

What You'll Do

No two days will look exactly the same. In this role, you'll:

  • Complete behavioral health assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy
  • Build strong therapeutic relationships with clients
  • Coordinate care with families, providers, and community resources
  • Support clients through crisis situations using risk assessment, de-escalation, and safety planning
  • Assist with discharge planning and recommendations for continued care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in supervision, training, utilization review, and professional development
  • Meet established clinical productivity and quality standards

Which Level Fits You?

Adult Therapist I | Master's Level

You'll need:

  • A Master's degree in a behavioral health field

Adult Therapist II | Licensed

You'll need:

  • A Master's degree in a behavioral health field
  • Current licensure through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners

Adult Therapist III | Independently Licensed

You'll need:

  • A Master's degree in a behavioral health field
  • Current independent licensure through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners

Preferred for all levels: Two years of full-time, post-Master's supervised experience in a behavioral health setting.

A Few Important Requirements

This position involves regular computer and documentation work, communication with clients and team members, and the ability to respond appropriately during stressful or emergent situations.

Employees must be at least 18 years old. Direct-care and client-facing employees must be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and maintain current American Heart Association-approved CPR/First Aid certification for healthcare providers, as applicable.

Adult Therapists are expected to maintain client confidentiality and follow applicable federal and state regulations, HIPAA requirements, professional ethics, payer requirements, licensing standards, and Spectrum Healthcare policies.
