SPECIAL PROJECTS LEAD

Starting: $58,000 per year 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Spectrum Healthcare Group is looking for a Special Projects Lead who can combine behavioral health experience, strong care coordination skills, and practical team leadership.

In this role, you will support specialized teams and projects that may include Justice, Court Ordered Treatment, Medication Assisted Treatment, and Hospital and Housing services. You will help staff navigate daily operations, monitor performance, coordinate care, and turn new initiatives into organized and effective workflows.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Lead and support assigned special teams, programs, and projects within Adult Behavioral Health.

- Help develop and implement new programs, workflows, and special initiatives.

- Provide administrative oversight to assigned staff, including caseload reviews, KPI and performance monitoring, and follow-up on performance improvement or corrective action plans.

- Guide team members on clinically appropriate daily decisions when the Clinical Supervisor is unavailable.

- Complete assessments and reassessments in accordance with established documentation guidelines.

- Develop, implement, and update treatment plans within the scope of the assigned Care Manager level.

- Coordinate behavioral and physical healthcare with physicians, internal teams, state and community partners, case management coordinators, and other resource agencies.

- Document treatment interventions, client progress, diagnostic considerations, and care management activities clearly and accurately.

- Participate in client staffing, utilization review, quality improvement, performance improvement, meetings, and required training.

- Keep team members informed about changes to policies, procedures, and operational practices.

- Maintain clinical productivity and comply with applicable federal, state, RBHA, payer, licensing, accreditation, confidentiality, safety, and organizational standards.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Knowledge of behavioral health care management principles and interventions for adults.

- Familiarity with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and common signs and symptoms of mental health disorders.

- A basic understanding of common physical health conditions and wellness interventions.

- Experience navigating healthcare systems and connecting clients with behavioral health, physical health, and community resources.

- The ability to provide clinically appropriate crisis assessment and intervention services.

- Strong communication, customer service, care coordination, documentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Cultural competence and the ability to work respectfully with clients, families, staff, providers, and community partners from diverse backgrounds.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates may qualify through one of the following pathways:

Level I:

- Bachelor's degree in any field and two years of experience working with the appropriate population, such as adults with serious mental illness or children, as applicable; OR

- High school diploma or GED plus a combination of behavioral health education, training, and experience totaling four years.

Level II:

- Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field and one year of behavioral health work experience.

Level III:

- Master's degree in a behavioral health field; OR

- Master's degree in any field with 30 semester hours of behavioral health coursework and one year of behavioral health work experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Must be at least 18 years old.

- Must maintain a valid Arizona driver's license and a driving record that meets organizational requirements.

- Direct care and client-facing staff must be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

- Must maintain current American Heart Association-approved CPR and First Aid certification for healthcare providers. Completely remote staff are exempt from this requirement.

- Must be able to work flexible hours when required.
