Spectrum Healthcare Group is seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. This position will be primarily based in Cottonwood, Arizona, with occasional travel to other Spectrum Healthcare Group locations as needed.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician helps ensure our facilities remain safe, functional, clean, and well maintained. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, completing repairs, working independently, and supporting multiple facility needs.
What You'll Do
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will:
- Perform routine facility maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Troubleshoot and complete general mechanical and facility repairs within your areas of knowledge and experience.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment.
- Assist with coordinating and monitoring outside contractors performing repairs or maintenance.
- Conduct facility safety inspections and identify items requiring maintenance or repair.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain facility equipment, including fans, vacuums, space heaters, laundry equipment, and cleaning equipment.
- Help maintain a safe and functional work environment.
- Perform basic janitorial work as needed.
- Assist with snow removal during winter weather.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to inspections, repairs, maintenance, and service appointments.
- Organize maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Respond to urgent facility maintenance needs when necessary.
- Travel to other Spectrum Healthcare Group locations as needed to assist with facility maintenance and repairs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience maintaining commercial facilities.
- General mechanical, maintenance, and repair skills.
- Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets organizational requirements.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Experience working with commercial building systems and facility maintenance.
- Experience coordinating repairs with outside vendors or contractors.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, infection control, and facility safety practices.
- Basic knowledge of routine vehicle maintenance.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
- Bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance activities.
- Frequently move throughout facilities.
- Lift and carry at least 25 pounds, with appropriate equipment used for heavier lifting.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repair activities throughout the workday.
