Spectrum Healthcare is seeking an experienced Advanced Crisis Response Specialist (ACRS) to join our Crisis Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled crisis professional who is passionate about helping individuals during their most vulnerable moments while mentoring the next generation of crisis responders.
As an Advanced Crisis Response Specialist, you will provide expert crisis intervention, complete comprehensive behavioral health assessments, develop safety plans, collaborate with community partners, and serve as a clinical resource for new Crisis Response Specialists. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and enjoys coaching others.
What You'll Do
- Respond to behavioral health crises in the community.
- Conduct comprehensive crisis assessments and determine clinically appropriate dispositions.
- Develop individualized safety plans and connect clients with ongoing services.
- Provide follow-up support and safety check-ins.
- Utilize advanced de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques.
- Mentor, coach, and help train newly hired Crisis Response Specialists.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, first responders, hospitals, and community providers.
- Participate in clinical team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
- Maintain productivity and documentation standards.
- Support department leadership with special projects and team development.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) under Arizona requirements.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Crisis Response Specialist.
- Valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong crisis assessment, intervention, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) Certification.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or training staff.
- Experience with:
- Title 36 evaluations
- High-risk clients
- Co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Vulnerable adults and guardianship
- Dementia, TBI, and developmental disabilities
- Criminal justice diversion or deflection programs
- Critical incident stress response
