As a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, you'll work directly with adults experiencing serious mental illness (SMI), helping them identify career goals, develop job skills, secure employment, and maintain successful community placements. What You'll Do

  • Develop employment and volunteer opportunities within the community.
  • Assist clients with obtaining and maintaining competitive employment.
  • Conduct vocational assessments and evaluate job readiness.
  • Create individualized employment plans with clients.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching, training, and ongoing support.
  • Build relationships with employers and community partners.
  • Coordinate services with case managers, physicians, and treatment teams.
  • Connect clients with community resources and vocational services.
  • Transport clients to job sites, appointments, and community activities as needed.
  • Participate in client staffing meetings and treatment planning.
  • Complete timely documentation, billing, and required reports.
  • Maintain productivity standards while providing high-quality, client-centered services.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of experience or training in vocational rehabilitation, behavioral health, psychology, counseling, social work, education, business administration, or a related field.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record (if required for the position).
  • Ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred Experience

  • Behavioral health or community mental health.
  • Serious Mental Illness (SMI) services.
  • Supported employment or vocational rehabilitation.
  • Case management or care coordination.
  • Workforce development or employment coaching.
  • Community outreach and employer engagement.
  • Working with multidisciplinary treatment teams.
