Care Manager

Care Managers must be a Behavioral Health Technician. At Spectrum, a BHT has: Minimum of a high school diploma and at least 2 years of behavioral health experience (may be combined educational and work experience). OR, An individual with a bachelor's degree (any) and at least 1 year experience in behavioral health. OR, An individual with a bachelor's degree in a human services related field.

OR, An individual who completes a behavioral Health Technician training program through an educational institution. OR, An individual with a master's degree in a human services related field and is not licensed.

One year of Behavioral Health experience preferred.

  • Maintains established agency policies and procedures, confidentiality standards, performance improvement initiatives, safety, environment of care, productivity standards, management of information, and infection control standards.
  • Always utilizes excellent customer service skills.
  • Complies with federal and state law, accrediting and licensing agencies at all times, to include but not limited to federal compliance regulations.
  • Provides clinically appropriate supportive counseling to individuals in need, and documents appropriately using the DIAP format in individuals' medical record.
  • Interacts with clients and staff in a culturally competent manner that considers factors such as age, developmental or acquired disabilities, religion and spiritual orientation, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, indigenous heritage, national origin, gender, and gender identity.
  • Assessments: Under supervision, completes initial assessments and reassessments in compliance with documentation guidelines.
  • Treatment plans: Under supervision develops implements treatment plan and treatment plan updates in compliance with documentation guidelines.
  • Ability to document and present treatment interventions and care management so that progress and diagnostic issues are all clear, understandable, and relate to treatment plan goals.
  • Obtains and analyzes information necessary for care coordination and implements coordination activities with departmental staff, physicians, state/community, case management coordinators, and other resource agencies as required.
  • Complies with federal, state, RBHA, and payer standards and guidelines.
