About the Role

Spectrum Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Care Manager to join our growing behavioral health team in Tucson. This advanced-level position combines direct client care with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring and training Care Managers while coordinating services for individuals with complex behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate behavioral and physical healthcare services for clients with complex needs
  • Complete assessments, reassessments, treatment plans, and care coordination activities
  • Manage high-acuity behavioral health cases across multiple systems of care
  • Mentor, coach, and train new Care Managers
  • Collaborate with providers, hospitals, community partners, and internal teams
  • Connect clients with housing, benefits, healthcare, and community resources
  • Provide crisis assessments and intervention when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with AHCCCS, RBHA, state, federal, and organizational standards
  • Travel as needed to support clients and teams throughout Arizona

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following:

  • High school diploma and at least 4 years of behavioral health experience as a Care Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 4 years of behavioral health Care Management experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Human Services-related field and at least 3 years of behavioral health Care Management experience

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
  • Court Ordered Treatment (COT)
  • Housing coordination
  • ALTCS and Social Security benefits
  • Guardianship and MHPOA
  • Crisis intervention
  • Social determinants of health
  • DCS involvement
  • Probation or school collaboration
  • Acute behavioral health services

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 and behavioral health interventions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coordinating behavioral and physical healthcare
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Requirements

  • Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Basic computer proficiency
